Learn new vocabulary and idioms by viewing a Powerpoint presentation with film clips and slides  followed by a  discussion.

Each week, we will present various topics.  
Examples for the Fall, 2021 quarter:

  • Political parties in the US
  • Healthcare in the U.S.
  • Asian Americans
  • Fake News
  • Hacking & Ransomware
  • Afghanistan - why were we there?
The presentations contain phrases, idioms, and vocabulary with explanations.  We will discuss the topic after the presentation.

Everyone is welcome to join in when you have time.  This class has become an on-going get-together for intermediate level students TO TALK, MAKE MISTAKES, ASK QUESTIONS, EXPLORE IDEAS, LAUGH, and MAKE FRIENDS. 
By using Zoom, we are able to have deeper more meaningful conversations with each other about the TOPICS WHICH INTEREST YOU.
